Privacy policy

Leela Intelligence, Inc. (“Leela”, “we”) runs try.withleela.com, where you can try Leela with your own company and projects, or with examples. This policy covers this site only. withleela.com has its own.

What we collect

• The company details you confirm, including your answer about AI agents, with each earlier version of them.
• Your policy answers and requests, project descriptions and drafts, uploaded files with their text, and assessments.
• Your work email and name, when you give them. Try Leela asks for both before your first experience, unless you came by invitation. The email is optional on the company form, and needed when you ask Leela for help.
• Usage records, such as pages visited, buttons used and your browser and device type. They exclude what you type, your files and your contact details.
• Share only information you are authorized to provide.

In your browser

• Unfinished form entries stay in this browser tab for up to 24 hours, and project drafts are also saved with your session. On a shared device, close the tab and clear site data when you finish.
• A private cookie keeps your session for 90 days, so every experience reuses the company details you confirmed. Staff sign-in uses its own cookie.
• One more cookie remembers, for a year, that this browser has seen the welcome, so it doesn’t play again.
• Your answers to the example decisions, and your approval of the example package, stay in this browser tab for a day. They reach Leela only to draw the example PDF you download, and are not saved.
• Return links open your company’s saved policy work and assessments, so keep them private. Invitation links sign no one in, but what you do after opening one is linked to that invitation.

How we use it

• To run what you try here: reading your files and project, assessing it, and showing the policies and work that apply.
• To follow up on the work you ask for.
• To understand how the site is used, and to fix problems.
• To keep the site secure, and to meet our legal obligations.
• We don’t sell personal information, and we don’t share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

What is sent elsewhere

• When you provide your email, we may send your name, email and confirmed company details (name, website, industry and product categories) to HubSpot, our contact management service, so the Leela team can follow up.
• Leela uses Google’s Gemini API to read your files and assess your project. It sends your confirmed company details, project description and the text of your files, and scanned documents and images themselves. Files are sent when you upload them, so Leela can read them.
• If you give a website, Leela reads up to four of its public pages and uses Gemini with Google Search to suggest company details. Your project description and files are never sent to search.
• Google processes this only to provide the service to Leela. We don’t use any AI service that uses your information to train its models.
• Prepared examples use fictional inputs and send nothing to an AI service while you explore them. If you use your own company or project with an example, it’s assessed like any other project.
• The site and its database run on Google Cloud, in the United States. The site loads no advertising, analytics or tracking from other companies.

Who we share it with

• Service providers that act for us: Google Cloud, which hosts the site and its database, Google’s Gemini API and HubSpot, as described above.
• Professional advisers, such as lawyers and accountants, when we need their help.
• Authorities, when the law requires it, or to protect the rights, property or safety of Leela, our customers or others.
• A buyer or successor, if Leela is part of a merger, acquisition or sale.

How long we keep it

• Saved company details, projects and files, with their summaries and website sources, stay until your company’s records are deleted. Files not attached to a saved project expire after 24 hours, and website suggestions you don’t confirm after 24 hours.
• If you ask for help with an example, your contact details, consent, the example version and the drafts you chose are saved separately for follow-up.
• Authorized Leela staff can see and export your information to support your experience and the work you request.
• Usage records remain after deletion, without what you typed or your details.
• Deleted records can remain in database backups until those backups are removed.

Your choices and rights

• To see, correct or delete what Leela holds about you or your company, write to privacy@withleela.com. We confirm the request comes from you before we act on it, respond within the time the law allows, and don’t treat you differently for asking.
• Residents of California and other US states with privacy laws can ask to know, correct and delete the personal information we hold, and to opt out of its sale or sharing. We don’t sell or share it, so there’s nothing to opt out of. You can also ask through an authorized agent.
• The site doesn’t track you across other websites, so it works the same whether or not your browser sends a Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control signal.
• In the EEA, the UK or Switzerland, we use your information to provide what you ask for here, and because we have a legitimate interest in running, protecting and improving the site. You can ask for access, a copy, correction, deletion or restriction, object to our use, and complain to your data protection authority. Leela is based in the United States, so your information is processed there; where the law requires, we rely on safeguards such as the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses.

Security

The site is served only over HTTPS. Google Cloud encrypts the database and stored files at rest, and only authorized Leela staff can sign in to see what visitors enter.

Children

This site is for businesses. It isn’t directed at children under 16, and we don’t knowingly collect information from them.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we’ll post the new version here and update the date above.
